Engine Oil Coolers - Install

Usage:

Installation Procedure


    NOTICE

    Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

    Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Use new O-ring seals and use new gaskets when the engine oil coolers are being installed.

  2. Attach a suitable lifting device to the engine oil coolers and oil temperature regulator housing (10). The weight of the engine oil coolers and oil temperature regulator housing (10) is approximately 137 kg (302 lb). Install the engine oil coolers and oil temperature regulator housing (10). Install bolts (8).

  3. Install tube (9).

  4. Install tube (6) and install tube (5).

  5. Attach a suitable lifting device to engine oil cooler (1). The weight of engine oil cooler (1) is approximately 30 kg (66 lb). Install engine oil cooler (1). Install bolts (4).

  6. Connect tube (2) to the elbow.

  7. Connect harness assembly (3) to the oil outlet cover.

  8. Install plug (7) into the oil cooler bonnet.

  9. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".

  10. Fill the engine with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil - Change".
