T9 Trencher Caterpillar

Operating Technique Information

Usage:

T9 ABC
Carry the work tool low to the ground so that the operator has good visibility. Avoid any sudden movements from one side to the other side when you carry a work tool. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transport Position" for more information.

Clear the work area of debris. Know the location of buried power cables and know the location of buried pipes. Keep the work area clear of personnel while you operate the work tool.

Always operate the trencher at HIGH IDLE.

Periodically check cutting teeth for wear. Replace the cutting teeth, if necessary. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Chain Teeth - Inspect/Replace" for more details.

Maintain a proper feed rate for optimum productivity. Feed rates will vary with the depth of the cut and with the material. Deep cuts or hard material require a slow feed rate. A faster feed rate may be possible with shallow cuts or with loose material.
