Cab Heater - Remove

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the seat assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Seat - Remove" in this manual.

------ WARNING! ------

At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure.

Steam can cause personal injury.

Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure.

Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.


  1. Release the pressure in the cooling system.

  2. Remove the bolts (1), the washers, and the cover (2) from the underside of the cab.

  3. Loosen the two clamps, and disconnect hose assemblies (3) and (4) from the two tubes under the cab heater. Put plugs in the hose assemblies in order to prevent coolant loss.

  4. Disconnect the wiring harness (5) behind the cab heater.

  5. Remove four bolts (6) and the washers that hold the cab heater (7) to the floorplate. Remove the cab heater.
