Pressure Releasing Procedure

Perform the following procedure before any hydraulic lines and/or hydraulic components are removed:

1. Stop the engine.

2. Place the engine start switch key to the ON position without starting the engine.

3. Move the implement control levers for the boom, the bucket, the stick, and the swing to the full stroke positions. Push down approximately ten times on the front and the rear of all of the pedals. This will release any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.

4. Slowly move the travel pedal to the FORWARD and REVERSE travel positions. This will release any pressure in the travel circuit.

5. Slowly loosen and remove the filler cap on the hydraulic tank. This will release the hydraulic tank pressure.

6. Install the filler cap onto the hydraulic tank.

7. Place the engine start switch key to the OFF position.

8. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. The hydraulic lines and/or hydraulic components can now be removed.
