Bearing utama untuk crankshaft yang telah digerinda tersedia. Bearing utama juga tersedia dengan diameter luar yang lebih besar daripada bearing ukuran awal. Bearing dengan diameter luar lebih besar ini digunakan untuk blok silinder dengan lubang bearing utama yang dibuat lebih besar daripada ukuran asli lubang. Rujuk ke publikasi yang sesuai Spesifikasi, "Bearing Journal Utama" untuk kasus mana pun.
Rujuk ke Petunjuk Khusus, SMHS7606, "Use of 1P-4000 Line Boring Tool Group" guna mendapatkan petunjuk yang diperlukan untuk menggunakan 1P-4000 Grup Alat Bor Sejajar. 1P-4000 Grup Alat Bor Sejajar digunakan untuk memeriksa penjajaran lubang bearing utama. 1P-3537 Grup Pengukur Dial Bore dapat digunakan untuk memeriksa ukuran lubang. Rujuk ke Petunjuk Khusus, GMG00981, " 1P-3537 Grup Pengukur Dial Bore" untuk petunjuk yang diperlukan dalam menggunakan 1P-3537 Grup Pengukur Dial Bore.
