Engine Oil Pump - Install
Installation Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Clean the mating surfaces for the front housing and for engine oil pump (2). Put the O-ring seal in position on the front housing.

- Put the engine oil pump (2) in position on the front housing. Make sure that engine oil pump (2) is in position on alignment dowels (3) for proper placement.
- Install three bolts (1) and tighten the bolts to a torque of 9 N·m (80 lb in).
Note: Latest engines do not have alignment dowels for the engine oil pump. After tightening the bolts to the proper torque, ensure that the shaft of the engine oil pump is free to rotate.
End By: Install the front housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Housing (Front) - Install".
