(1) Apply 1U-8846 Liquid Gasket to the joint face of the seal carrier. Spread the liquid gasket uniformly on the joint face. The seal carrier must be assembled and tightened to the cylinder block within ten minutes.
(2) Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of the eight bolts.
(3) Seal
(4) The dowel extends into the seal carrier by the following distance. ... 8.0 ± 0.5 mm (0.32 ± 0.02 inch)
