When reporting the repair, use "PS43989" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
1. Drain the cooling system to a level that is below the 065-0710 Plug (1). Refer to Image 1.1.1. 2. Drain the coolant into a suitable container and dispose of the coolant in accordance with local regulations. 3. Remove the 065-0710 Plug (1). |

4. Install the 4D-9986 O-Ring Seal (3) onto the jacket water heater element assembly (2). Refer to Image 1.2.1. 5. Lubricate the O-ring seal with 1U-6396 O-ring Assembly Compound. |

5. Adjust the mounting bracket (4) for the heater element (2). The element must not touch any surfaces of the engine when installed into the bore. Refer to Image 1.3.1. 6. Install heater element (2) into the bore. 7. Align the bolt hole in the mounting bracket (4) with bolt hole in the engine block. 8. Install the bolt and washer (5) and (6). Tighten the bolt to a specified torque of 22 Name (16 lb ft). 9. Place cover (7) on the connector for the heater element. 10. Place the harness into the toolbox located at the front of the machine. 11. Refill the cooling system correct coolant. Start the machine and check the machine for any leaks. |
