Description of Change: Several changes are now in effect for the single flange track rollers in order to improve service life. One change calls for a harder core in the roller shell to reduce bore distortion from high service loads.

Another change utilizes a casting for the Duo-Cone® seal to provide more consistent seal positioning in the roller. The casting also provides better resistance to the effects of corrosion.

The rubber toric in the Duo-Cone® seal now has better low temperature performance to reduce leakage in cold weather applications (temperatures to -30°C (-54°F). In extreme cold weather conditions where temperatures range from -30 to -50°C (-54 to -90°F), the arctic seals will be required for the track rollers.

Adaptable To: The new track rollers that are shown in the chart are direct replacements for the former track rollers. The chart shows the relationship for model application.

The new track rollers are effective with 345B L (4SS370), 350 (7RK399), 350 L (9DK300, 9FL969), 375 (8XG313, 8WJ96, 6NK229), 375 L (6RL81, 9WL198, 1JM363), and 5080 (6XK164, 8SL96) Excavators. The new track rollers are in effect with the first production of the other 345B and 345B L models listed. The new track rollers are adaptable to all earlier machines of the models listed above.

Custom Track Service (CTS) wear charts for the improved track rollers remain the same as those currently published in the Custom Track Service Handbook.
