(8) 6E-6263 Rotor.

Shims can be used to prevent binding of the rotor in the swivel. 137-3894 Shims (6) installed between 130-3367 Retainer (5) and the end of 6E-6263 Rotor (8) will set gap (E), from .15 mm (.006 in) to .50 mm (.020 in) to assure correct running clearance and prevent binding of 6E-6263 Rotor (8).

137-3894 Shims (6) are adaptable to updated 6E-6261 Swivels and new 130-5129 Swivels as follows:

* 5130 (7TJ) Excavators with 6E-6261 Swivel.
* 5130 (5ZL1-72) Excavators with 6E-6261 Swivel.
* 5130 (5ZL73-Up) Excavators with 130-5129 Swivel.
* 5130B (4CS1-Up) Excavators with 130-5129 Swivel.

NOTE: See Reference Article for updated 6E-6261 Swivel.

Procedure To Install Shims For Correct Running Clearance

1. Measure and record thickness (C) of 130-3367 Retainer (5).

2. Install 130-3368 Retainer (4), first 130-4738 Thrust Race (1), 130-4737 Needle Bearing (2), second 130-4738 Thrust Race (1), 130-3367 Retainer (5), and three 8T-4176 Bolts (3).

3. Torque 8T-4176 Bolts (3) to 105 ± 10 N·m (75 ± 7 lb ft).

4. Using a depth micrometer, measure from Face (B) through large hole in 130-3367 Retainer (5) to end of 6E-6263 Rotor (8).

5. Subtract recorded thickness (C) of 130-3367 Retainer (5) from depth micrometer measurement to determine gap (D) dimension.

6. Add .15 mm (.006 in) to .50 mm (.020 in) to gap (D) dimension, to determine number of 137-3894 Shims (6) needed to set gap (E) between .15 mm (.006 in) to .50 mm (.020 in) for correct running clearance.

NOTE: Thickness of one 137-3894 Shim (6) equals .50 mm (.020 in).

7. Install 137-3894 Shims (6), as needed, and repeat steps 2 and 3.

8. Check gap (E) with feeler gage. Gap (E) must be between .15 mm (.006 in) to .50 mm (.020 in).
