Description of Change: This article replaces the article with the same title on Page 4 of the February 2, 1998 issue.

The oil filter group on the 3508 EUI, 3508B Engines in these machines, and the Remanufactured 3508 Engines for these machines, has been changed to allow oil in the engine oil lines to be quickly drained before servicing the engine oil filters. The drain point is a "quick connect fitting" by the oil filter base.

Adaptable To: The illustration and chart identify the new components in the 6I-3516 Oil Filter Group. The new components are effective with 3508 EUI (7YG2148) Engines and 3508B (2GR1083) Engines in 5130 (5ZL125) and 5130B (4CS151) Excavators respectively. The new components are effective with Remanufactured 3508 (5TL235) Engines for these machines. The new components, when used together, are adaptable to the engines in all earlier 5130 (5ZL) and 5130B (4CS) Excavators.
