Note: Refer to Cylinder Liners in The Guideline For Reusable Parts SEBF8049 and SEBF8068.

Installation

1. Put liquid soap on the liner bore surfaces of the cylinder block. Also, put liquid soap on the rubber seals which are installed on the lower part of the liner.

2. Put the filler band completely in clean engine oil for a moment.

3. Install filler band (3) in the groove under the liner flange without delay.

4. Install the liner in the block immediately before the expansion of the filler band.

(1) Bore in new liner ... 137.19 ± 0.03 mm (5.401 ± 0.001 inch)

(2) Thickness of cylinder liner flange ... 8.89 ± 0.02 mm (0.3500 ± 0.0008 inch)

The minimum thickness that may be used again is the following value. ... 8.870 mm (0.3492 inch)
