Description Of Change: New software is now used on the sales models listed above. The new software fixes an engine stall problem when the anti-theft feature is active.

Adaptable To: The following software is adaptable to the machines within the listed serial numbers, and is effective with all machines after the listed serial numbers.

Update the machines to the new software, 517-1800 Transmission Control Module v4.4, and 517-1799 Machine UGM v4.9. Refer to M0078683 for instructions for installing new software.

The new software is available in the form of a flash file through the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS). A newer part number may be available. SIS web only displays the latest available flash file.
