A rework procedure for Driver Safety System (DSS) vibration motor bracket is now available. This rework procedure on vibration mount bracket will allow the bracket to fit for more models. The vibration motor bracket part numbers are listed in Table 1.

Rework Procedure

Perform the following rework procedure to have a slotted holes to the vibration motor bracket:

Do not operate or work on this product unless you have read and understood the instruction and warnings in the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manuals and relevant service literature. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Proper care is your responsibility.

Note: Installer is responsible for the modification of the seat.

Note: Future build will have slotted bracket.

(1) Vibration motor bracket (A) 15.88 mm (0.625 inch) (B) 11.11 mm (0.437 inch)

Make a slot of dimension 11.11 mm (0.437 inch) × 15.88 mm (0.625 inch) on one of the two holes of vibration motor bracket (1). Refer to Illustration 1.
