Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

- Install fuel filter (3) and filter base (9) in the reverse order of removal.
- Before installation of fuel filter (3), lubricate all exposed sealing surfaces of fuel filter (3) with the lubricant that is being sealed.
- Tighten fuel filter (3) to a torque of
100 ± 5 N·m (74 ± 4 lb ft) .Note: After installation, make sure that no gap exists between fuel filter (3) and filter base (9).
