Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the heating elements (main screed).

2. Remove the temperature sensors (screed).

1. Install Tooling (A) to the frame of the main screed.

2. Remove 10 nuts (2), 10 jam nuts (3), and the 10 washers from 10 studs (1).

3. Repeat Step 2 for the opposite side.

4. Start the machine.

5. Slowly lift the screed off the screed plates (main).

6. Position the screed on the travel locks.

7. Drive the machine forward.

8. Remove nut (5), the washers, and the clamp from screed plate (main) (4).

Installation Procedure

1. Install screed plate (main) (4) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Align the front edge of screed plate (main) (4) with the face of the screed frame.

   2. Face the chamfer towards the interior of the screed.

   3. Align the outside edge of screed plate (main) (4) with the outside surface of the screed frame.

   4. Tighten 10 nuts (2) to a torque of 50 ± 10 N·m (37 ± 7 lb ft).
