Overview of the Information Display

Performance Pages

The Performance Page, or Home page, is the main introductory page on the machine’s Information Display. Displayed within the Performance Page and its subpages are real-time machine status information and current machine settings.

The buttons on either the left side or the right side of the screen are considered Hotkey buttons. Hotkey buttons are buttons that are on the display screen itself. They appear raised or beveled and can be activated by touch.

The four Hotkey buttons on the left side are configured for the machine. The five Hotkey buttons on the right side are considered the Categories for Navigation buttons.

Hotkey Button Sequence

Hotkey button sequence (Example: DISPLAY button)

Left Side or Right Side Hotkey buttons are initially gray. When an operator presses a Hotkey button, the button will turn from gray to blue to indicate that it has been selected and activated. Then, it will return to its original gray color.

At the selection of a category, a Level 1 menu page appears and the right side Categories for Navigation buttons change to Navigation Buttons. While in the menu pages, the right side Hotkey buttons are now displayed as the navigation buttons for the category selected. In the Navigation Buttons state, the right side buttons are UP, OK, DOWN, BACK, and HOME.

(14) HOME button

There are five buttons that act as the principle navigation on the 17.8 cm (7 inch) Information Display. These five buttons are on the right hand side of the Display.

When on a menu page, the right hand side Navigation Hotkey buttons replace the Categories for Navigation buttons (Display, Machine, Totals, Service, and Operator ID).

When the user presses any of these buttons, a top level menu page will appear. On this page, and the following sub-menu page, the right-hand-side buttons will change to Navigation buttons.

The five Menu Navigation buttons are as follows:

  • UP button

  • OK button

  • DOWN button

  • BACK button

  • HOME button

Performance Page with Selectable Parameters

The main Performance page consists of four areas or quadrangles. Each area displays a selectable parameter.

(16) Voltage
(17) TC Oil Temp (Temperature)
(18) Hyd (Hydraulic) Oil Temp (Temperature)

  1. To select and change a viewable parameter, press once to highlight a particular Performance page quadrangle. A blue frame appears around the selected quadrangle. Press the area again to edit.

The four selectable default parameters on the Performance Page are:

    • Fuel Rate

    • Voltage

    • TC Oil Temp (Temperature)

    • Hyd (Hydraulic) Oil Temp (Temperature)

The Fuel Rate quadrangle (15) on the Performance Page has been pressed. A blue frame is now shown.

  2. A Parameter Selection page will appear with a list containing the various machine parameters. The parameters currently appearing on the Parameter Page will not show in the parameter list.

Note: Contents are variable and based on a machine model and/or software enabled attachments.

  1. Press the UP Arrow button (10) or the DOWN Arrow button (12) on the right side of the Display to scroll through the Parameter Selection list. A different parameter will highlight with a yellow bar each time either arrow is pressed.

Note: Pressing the DOUBLE DOWN Arrow button (20) will scroll to the bottom of the list. Pressing the DOUBLE UP Arrow button (19) will scroll to the top of the list.

  2. When an intended parameter is highlighted with a yellow bar, press the OK button (11) to select and set that particular parameter. The parameter will now appear in the selected Performance Page area.

For example, the upper left quadrangle shows the Fuel Rate reading but the operator would rather view the Rear Axle Oil Temp reading. To do this, the operator selects the Fuel Rate quadrangle (15) on the Performance Page.

On the Parameter Selection page, the operator has scrolled through the list until Rear Axle Oil Temp is highlighted with a yellow bar.

Note: Because Fuel Rate is already shown in the quadrant, it is not visible on the Parameter Selection page since it already has been selected.

Once Rear Axle Oil Temp has been highlighted, the operator presses the OK button (11).

The operator can change the quadrant back to Fuel Rate by repeating the above steps.

  1. Repeat Steps 1- 4 (above) to add other parameters to the Performance page areas. The newly set parameters will appear at the startup of the machine. The newly set parameters will also be saved for the next startup of the machine.

Some pages on the Information Display will show a list of parameters. The list can be scrolled by using either the UP Arrow button or the DOWN Arrow button. However, the operator can quickly move to the top of the list by pressing the DOUBLE UP Arrow button (19). The operator can quickly move to the bottom of the list by pressing the DOUBLE DOWN Arrow button (20). The end of the list is shown when the intended parameter is highlighted with a yellow bar.

Menu Buttons

Navigation through menu lists and submenus is possible by using the Menu Button Groups. When pressed, a menu button will momentarily be highlighted in blue. Then, the menu button will highlight in yellow to indicate the Display’s current selection. A menu button group is accessible by performing one of the following actions:

  • Directly touching a single button within the group.

  • Using the navigation buttons along the right side of the Display.

If needed, press the OK button on the Right Side of the Display to advance to the next page.

If five or more options are available and appear in a Menu Button Group, a non-interactive scroll bar will appear.

Non-Interactive Scroll Bar with Menu Sliding Indicator

When five or more options are available and appear in a Menu Button Group, a non-interactive Scroll Bar (21) will appear on the right side of the menu screen. As the user presses the UP Arrow button (10) or DOWN arrow button (12), the scroll bar's sliding indicator will move in the same direction.

Note: The Menu Sliding Indicator will only move when either the UP Arrow button or the DOWN Arrow button is pressed.
