Description Of Change: A new DPF sensor bracket is available that mounts directly to the engine and reduces vibration in the sensor and wiring harness.

Adaptable To: Follow the procedure below for proper installation of the 458-9399 Bracket.

  1. Measure the distance from the back of the lifting eye to front of the existing differential pressure sensor bracket. Refer to Illustration 1.

    • If the distance is less than 18.5 mm (0.73 inch), 383-0205 Washers (1) are required

    • If the distance is greater than 18.5 mm (0.73 inch), do NOT use washers (item 5).

  2. Remove the existing bolts. Refer to Illustration 2.

  3. Mount bracket (3) and the differential pressure sensor using bolts (5). Refer to Illustration 3.

    Note: Only use washers (1) if measurement from Step 1 is less than 18.5 mm (0.73 inch).

    Tighten to a specified torque of 10.5 ± 0.7 N·m (7.8 ± 0.5 lb ft). Secure bracket (3) to the engine lifting eye using bolt (2) and washer (4). Tighten to a specified torque of 52 ± 3 N·m (39 ± 3lb ft). Refer to Illustration 3.

  1. Use bracket (6) with mounting bolts (A) as shown in Illustration 4. Tighten to a specified torque of 10.5 ± 0.7 N·m (7.8 ± 0.5 lb ft). Bolts (B) are used to mount sensor to bracket. Tighten to a specified torque of 10.5 ± 0.7 N·m (7.8 ± 0.5 lb ft).
