Electric Starting Motor - Remove and Install
- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Note: The hardware for cable assembly (2) is one time use only. Discard after removing.
- Disconnect ground strap (5).
- Disconnect harness assembly (3).
- Remove nuts (4) and electric starting motor (6).
- Install electric starting motor (6) in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten the nut for ground strap (5) to a torque of
18 ± 3 N·m (159 ± 27 lb in) . - Tighten the nut for cable assembly (2) to a torque of
15 ± 3 N·m (133 ± 27 lb in) .
- Tighten the nut for ground strap (5) to a torque of
