NOTE: | This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS46019" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing spline adapter, between the 397-9577 Lube Pump and the 303-9326 Fan Pump, can slide and disconnect the lube pump, on certain 794 AC Off-Highway Trucks. If the lube pump is disconnected, lubricant no longer flows to the pump drive box. Without lubricant the pump drive box can seize, breaking the drive shaft or other associated components. |

1. Remove existing lube pump (3). Refer to UENR2271, Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Pump Drive Lubrication) - Remove and Install", for additional information. Location of Components: (1) Pump Drive Box (2) 309-9326 Fan Pump (3) 397-9577 Lube Pump (4) Breather (5) Mounting Area |

2. Remove and retain bolt (A) and spline adapter (B) on 397-9577 Lube Pump (3). Refer to Image1.3.1. |

3. Machine a retaining ring groove into spline adapter (B). Refer to the specifications in Image1.4.1. |

4. Install new 454-8452 Retaining Ring (6) into the new groove in spline adapter (B). Re-install spline adapter (B) to 397-9577 Lube Pump (3) and secure with retaining bolt (A). 5. Tighten retaining bolt (A) to a specified torque of 30 N.m (22 lb ft). Refer to Image1.5.1. |

6. Re-install 397-9577 Lube Pump (3). Refer to UENR2271, Disassembly and Assembly,"Gear Pump (Pump Drive Lubrication) - Remove and Install", for additional information. 7. Run the machine at low idle and check for leaks. Make any necessary adjustments/ repairs. 8. Check the hydraulic oil level and add oil, as required. Refer to SEBU9099, Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic Tank Oil Level - Check - Brake, Steering, and Hoist Oil", for additional information. 9. Inspect breather (4) at mounting area (5) for oil or oily dust build up. 10. If oil or oily dust are present, replace the breather with a new 9Y-5011 Air Breather and clean mounting area (5). |
