PROBLEM
The existing 3610785/">361-0785 plug needs to be inspected and possibly replaced on certain C32 Marine engines. The existing plug can leak sea water. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Review the safety actions in the Operation and Maintenance Manual. Step 1: Confirm existing plug material. Use a magnet to confirm if the 3610785/">361-0785 brass plug is installed on the jacket water heat exchanger as shown in Image 1. The magnet should not be attracted to 3610785/">361-0785 plug. If 3610785/">361-0785 plug is installed no further action is necessary. If magnet is attracted to plug it indicates a ferrous plug is installed. If ferrous plug is installed proceed to next step. Step 2: Isolate and drain the sea water circuit. Step 3: Remove the existing plug and replace with a new 3610785/">361-0785 plug and 6V-6609 o-ring. ensure the threads are clean and free from debris. Step 4: Fill the sea water system. |
