PROBLEM
Certain aftercooler cores could have possibly been manufactured incorrectly and may be missing the internal baffle. The missing baffle separates the inlet and outlet ports, which can result in high inlet air temperatures due to poor coolant flow in the aftercooler. |
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect all 245-4621, 245-4622, 342-4863, and 342-4864 Aftercooler Cores in dealer parts stock. Inspect to ensure the internal baffle is present. If the baffle is present, then mark the packaging as inspected and place the part back into dealer parts stock. If the baffle is not present, then remove the part from dealer parts stock. |
SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock. |
PARTS DISPOSITION
