Assembly Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be cleaned thoroughly in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. All disassembly and all assembly procedures must be performed on a clean work surface and in a clean hydraulic area. Keep cleaned parts covered and protected at all times.

Note: O-rings, gaskets, and seals should always be replaced. A used O-ring may not have the same sealing properties as a new O-ring.

Note: Apply a light film of hydraulic oil to all components before assembly.

1. Install valve assembly (29) and solenoid valve assembly (28) .

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury. To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.

4. Install O-ring (18) and tongue (17). Tighten tongue (17) to a torque of 10 ± 1 N·m (89 ± 6 lb in).

5. Install spool (19) .

6. Install seal (14), wiper (15), and plate (16) .

7. Install retainers (9) and spring (10). Install adaptor (11) to a torque of 10 ± 1 N·m (89 ± 6 lb in).

8. Install spool cap (12) and screws (13). Tighten screws (13) torque of 10 ± 1 N·m (89 ± 6 lb in).

9. Install seal (8), wiper (7), plate (6), and screws (5). Tighten screws (5) torque of 10 ± 1 N·m (89 ± 6 lb in)

10. Install right-hand stabilizer (26) .

11. Install O-ring (22). Install valve group (21). Tighten valve group (21) to a torque of 45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft).

12. Repeat Steps 3 and 9.

21. Install inlet manifold (2).

22. Install nuts (1) and (25). Tighten two nuts (1) to a torque of 45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft). Tighten four nuts (25) to a torque of 24 ± 3 N·m (212 ± 27 lb in).

End By: Install the bank valve (backhoe).
