Description of Change: An improvement has been added to mechanical unit injectors (MUI) in the above engines for Caterpillar built machines. A raised radius has been added to the nose cone at the nozzle end of the MUI. The radius provides a better sealing surface to the sleeve in the engine head and helps reduce combustion gas leakage. See the Illustration.
NOTE: The sleeve should be reamed before reinstalling the MUI for further control of combustion gas leakage.
