New Bracket Assembly Added To Exhaust Manifold Group {1059}

Usage:

3516 ( 9KF ) Locomotive Engines

Description of Change: A bracket assembly has been added to the exhaust manifold group. See the illustration. The new bracket assembly has been added to the left side manifold assembly. New bracket assembly (5) will provide additional support to left side turbocharger bellows assembly (1). Formerly, a lack of support and thermal expansion could result in a an exhaust leak at the left side turbocharger bellows.

Adaptable To: The new components are identified in the illustration and chart. The new components are in effect with 3516 Locomotive Engine 9KF59. When used together, the new components are adaptable to all earlier engines. When installing the new bracket assembly on earlier engines, the left side 7E9986 Bellows Assembly should be replaced.
