New PRELUB Systems Available For Medium To Large Caterpillar Construction Equipment {1319}

Usage:

Reference: Salesgram, Form No. IEXQ0221, "PRELUB SYSTEMS FOR MEDIUM TO LARGE CATERPILLAR CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT"

The PRELUB system is a specially built electric starter system that automatically builds engine oil pressure in the lubrication system before cranking over the engine to prevent dry starts. Dry starts occur during periods of very hot or very cold weather, or after long periods of shut down. The PRELUB system pumps crankcase oil through the engines's oil filter and into the oil galleries until the oil pressure reaches 48 kPa (7 psi). Then the system automatically cranks the engine. This ensures components such as crankshaft, camshaft, turbocharger, rocker, ets. have lubrication BEFORE cranking the engine. The PRELUB system will also quickly and easily refill oil filters and galleries following routine oil and filter changes.

PRELUB Model 50MT fits Caterpillar engine sizes: 3406B, 3408, 3412, 3508, 3512, 3516.

PRELUB Model 42MT fits Caterpillar engine sizes: 3408B, 3406B, 3406, 3306, 3304, 3208, 3116.

PRELUB Models are also available for some competitive engines.

The PRELUB system is available as a factory installation or a retrofit kit. For additional information contact your Caterpillar Dealer and/or see the Reference.
