End Clearance Specification Changed For Front Shaft In Fuel Injection Control{1251,1258}

Usage:

3500 Family Of Engines

Description of Change: The specification for the end play on the cross shaft in the fuel injection control groups has been changed from 0.80 ± 0.10 mm (.031 ± .004 in) to 0.20 ± 0.10 mm (.008 ± .004 in). The reduction in the end play specification was made to reduce the variation in the synchronization adjustment.

Adaptable To: This change affects the 4W2965, 4W2966, and 4W2967 Fuel Injector Control Groups (not serviced). See the chart for the effectivity of this change. This change is also adaptable to first production.
