--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------
Description of Change: A new fan spider assembly is used in the [1829 mm (72.0 in) diameter] fan groups. The new fan spider assembly has narrower blades. In addition, the new fan spider assembly has laminations which are narrower and progressively smaller in diameter. This results in lighter blades which reduce the stress on the rivets that fasten the blades to the fan hub. Although the new fan spiders have narrower blades, the air flow is the same for both the new and former fan spider assemblies. In addition to the blade changes, the hub of the new fan spider assembly is made from a stronger steel.
