Description of Change: A new water temperature regulator with an internal vent valve (jiggle valve), a new gasket, regulator housing, and pipe are used in the water lines group. This change eliminates the need for the external plastic vent valve.

Location of new components in the 9Y6687 Water Lines Group.

Adaptable To: The chart and illustration identify the new components in the 9Y6687 Water Lines Group. The new components are in effect with 3116 Truck Engine 7SF12503.

For 3116 Truck Engines 7SF1-12502, the former 9N5121 Regulator and 9Y9893 Gasket can be directly replaced with the new 7E5254 Regulator and 4P2684 Gasket. The former regulator housing and pipe do not have to be replaced to use the new regulator and gasket.
