Description of Change: A new return spring is used in unit injectors on the 3500 Engines. The new spring is made of a stronger alloy steel. The spring also has a higher resistance to surge.
The new spring has a blue stripe. The former spring has a pink stripe.
Adaptable To: The new 4P3487 Injector Spring is a direct replacement for the former 7W0296 Injector Spring. Chart A lists all of groups affected by this change. Chart B lists the effective engine serial numbers and Chart C lists the effective PIN's. See the Reference.
