Dowel Hole Removed From 8N3946 Governor Housing Improves Service Life{1287}

Description of Change: The alignment dowel in the governor housing has been eliminated. Also, the diameter on one of the mounting holes has been decreased to provide correct fuel pump to camshaft gear alignment. The former housing could crack near the mounting bolt holes if the dowel hole was not correctly located in the housing.
Adaptable To: The improved 8N3946 Governor Housing (same part number) is a direct replacement for the former housing. This change is effective with the engines in the chart.
