7211 & 7221 MARINE TRANSMISSIONS Caterpillar

start by:

a) remove transmission

1. Remove rubber blocks (1).

2. Remove bolt (2) and plate (3).

3. Remove the O-ring seals from the plate and the spider.

4. Remove spider (4).

Install Spider

1. Put spider (1) in position on the ahead shaft.

2. Install new O-ring seal (4) on plate (3).

3. Install new O-ring seal (2) on spider (1).

4. Install plate (3) and bolt (5).

5. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 150 lb.ft. (205 N·m).

6. Install rubber blocks (6) on the spider.
