NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


Note: Inspect the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets. Replace the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets that are worn or damaged.

Note: Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

  1. Use Tooling (A) to install bearings (21).

    Note: Countersink bearings (21) to a depth of 1.5 ± .025 mm (0.059 ± 0.001 inch).

    Note: The joint of bearings (21) should be located 15 degrees to 30 degrees from the centerline of the body assembly.

  2. Install shaft assemblies (20). Install O-ring seal (19).

  3. Use a suitable drift to install key (18). Install O-ring seal (17).

  4. Install gear (16). Install gear (15).

  5. Install body assembly (14). Install key (13).

    Note: Ensure that the body assemblies are aligned.

    Note: Ensure that the body assemblies are aligned.

  8. Use Tooling (A) to install bearings (9).

    Note: Countersink bearings (9) to a depth of 1.6 mm (0.063 inch).

    Note: The joint of bearings (9) should be located 15 degrees to 30 degrees from the centerline of the manifold assembly.

  9. Install manifold assembly (7).

  10. Use Tooling (A) to install bearings (6).

    Note: Countersink two bearings (6) to a depth of 0.062 mm (0.0024 inch).

    Note: The joint of bearings (6) should be located 15 degrees to 30 degrees from the centerline of the manifold assembly.

  11. Align cover assembly (2) with body assembly (3). Install bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) evenly. Tighten each of bolts (1) by one revolution before proceeding to the next bolt.

    Note: The gear pump must rotate freely.

End By:

  1. Install the transmission gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Transmission) - Install".
