Fuel Filter Housing

Usage:

Remove and Install Fuel Filter Housing

1. Close the fuel supply line to the engine.

2. Remove two fuel lines (1) from the fuel filter housing.

3. Remove one fuel line (2) and remove six bolts (3) located behind the fuel filter housing.

4. Attach a strap to the fuel filter housing as illustrated. Remove four bolts (4) and remove fuel filters and fuel filter housing.

NOTE: Install the fuel filter housing in the exact reverse order as removal.

5. Open the fuel supply line to the engine.

6. If the fuel filter housing is disassembled for any reason or the fuel filters replaced, it will be necessary to leave line (2) removed while cranking the engine. Continue to crank until a constant flow of fuel is exiting the fuel filter housing.

7. Connect fuel line (2) and check all lines for leaks.

Disassemble and Assemble Fuel filter housing

Start By:

a. remove fuel filter housing

b. remove fuel priming pump

1. Remove six bolts (1) and remove bracket (2) from fuel filter housing.

2. Remove two fuel filters (3).

3. Remove eight bolts and four nuts (4) and separate the fuel filter housing.

4. Separate housing (5) from the two fuel filter bases (6). There are two O-rings (7) and (8) between each of the bases. Remove valve (10) and two O-rings (9).

NOTE: Do not attempt to disassemble or change the settings of valve (10).

NOTE: Assembly of the fuel filter housing is accomplished in the exact reverse order as disassembly.

End By:

a. install fuel priming pump

b. install fuel filter housing
