NOTICE

It is important that valve (10), spring (11) and the oil filter housing be clean and in good working order. If for any reason an oil filter would become inoperative this valve would allow oil to continue to flow thus preventing engine damage.

6. Remove twelve bolts and two adapters (13), one from each end of the oil filter housings, and remove gasket (12).

NOTE: Assembly of the oil filter housing is accomplished in the exact reverse order from disassembly.

NOTE: Clean surfaces completely and replace all gaskets. When assembling oil filter housing, tighten bolts (4) in a criss-cross fashion to prevent the gaskets from warping and possible oil leaks.
