Crankcase Breather

Usage:

Remove And Install Crankcase Breather

1. Remove clamp (2) and boot (3) or any pipe that maybe attached in place of boot (3).

2. Loosen two clamps (4) at the base of both crankcase breathers.

3. Remove both breathers (1) as a unit from the engine.

4. Remove and replace two O-rings (5) located on the two valve covers from where the air breathers were removed.

5. Remove two hose clamps (7) and remove both crankcase breathers (6) from rubber connector (8).

6. Check the condition of both crankcase breathers by turning upside down. Light oil and small amounts of dirt can be removed by washing each of the breathers in Stanisol. If oil or dirt remains after flushing, it will be necessary to replace both breathers. Do not attempt to disassemble the breathers.

NOTE: Installation of the crankcase breathers is accomplished in the exact reverse order from removal.

7. Put a light coating of oil on the O-rings (5) prior to installation of the crankcase breathers.
