Note: When you install screed extensions, the material must be transported farther. This situation requires the use of auger extensions. Refer to the paver Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Auger Extension Installation" for further information.

1. Remove the end gates (1) , the support frames, and the deflector from the extender.

2. Place the extension near the end of the extender and connect the electrical circuits to the heating elements in the extension.

3. Install the logic plug in the two pin connector located near the extender mounted remote control panel (2) . The logic plug must be removed when the extension is removed.

4. Install the right extension (4) to the main screed (1) with the cam adjusters (3) and (8) .

5. Install the left extension (4) to the main screed (1) with the cam adjusters (5) and (7) .

6. Install the end gate (6) to the extension with the cam adjusters (3) and (8) .

7. Check the screed plates for proper alignment. If the screed plates are not aligned, adjust the extension by turning the cam adjusters.

8. Check the extension plate with respect to the extender plate for proper flatness.

9. When the screed plates are properly aligned, tighten the nuts on the cam adjusters.
