Removal Procedure

Personal injury or death can occur from heavy components falling during removal or installation. Properly support the component with a suitable lifting device during removal or installation.

Front Cleaner Bars

1. Attach a suitable lifting device to the rear of push arm assembly (1A) or place suitable cribbing under the rear of push arm assembly (1A). The weight of the push arm assembly is approximately 474 kg (1045 lb). Remove bolts (3B), caps (3A) and shims (2A).

2. Attach a suitable lifting device to front cleaner bar (1) behind the front wheel.

3. Remove bolts (2), the washers and nuts (3) from cleaner bar (1).

4. Remove front cleaner bar (1) from the machine. The weight of the cleaner bar is approximately 920 kg (2030 lb).

5. Lower cleaner bar (1) on suitable blocks, as shown.

6. Fasten a suitable lifting device to front cleaner bar (4) in front of the front wheel.

7. Remove bolts (5), the washers and nuts (6) from cleaner bar (4).

8. Remove front cleaner bar (4) from the machine. The weight of the cleaner bar is approximately 455 kg (1000 lb).

Rear Cleaner Bars

Note: Use the following procedure for the removal of the rear cleaner bar on both sides of the machine.

1. Fasten a suitable lifting device to rear cleaner bar (7).

2. Remove cotter pin (8), nut (9), the washers and pin (10) from each end of cleaner bar (7).

3. Remove rear cleaner bar (7) from the machine. The weight of the cleaner bar is approximately 105 kg (230 lb).

4. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the removal of rear cleaner bar (11).

5. Attach a suitable lifting device to bar assembly (13). The weight of the cleaner bar and support as a unit is 161 kg (355 lb).

6. Remove bolts (12) and the washers from cleaner bar (13). Remove bolt (12A) and spacer (12B). Install bolt (12) and tighten bolt (12A).

7. Remove rear cleaner bar (13) from the machine.

8. Fasten a suitable lifting device to rear cleaner bar (15). The weight of the cleaner bar is 117 kg (260 lb).

9. Remove bolts (14) and the washers from bar assembly (15).

10. Remove rear cleaner bar (15) from the machine.
