Revised Special Instruction, REHS1634, "Reworking of Latching Transmission to Nonlatching Transmission" is Available {3030}

This revised Special Instruction gives the procedure for reworking a latching transmission to a nonlatching transmission. The rework removes components from the transmission and the rework reduces the complexity of the transmission. For proper operation of the machine, it is important to note that additional rework to the vehicle electrical system is required after installation of the nonlatching transmission.
The Special Instruction has been revised in order to correct the listed effectivity only.
The revised Special Instruction is available through the normal literature distribution system. The publication can also be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS).
