  1. Install three plugs (6) .

  1. Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of bolt (7) .

  1. Install bolt (7), the washer and the nut.

Note: The collet on one side must not extend farther than the other collet when the bolt and nut are tight.

  1. Tighten bolt (7) and the nut to torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m (1330 ± 145 lb ft). After the bolt and nut are tight, hit the collet on each side with a heavy hammer until the torque on the bolt and the nut is less than 950 N·m (700 lb ft).

  1. Tighten bolt (7) and the nut again to torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m (1330 ± 145 lb ft). Hit each collet again until the torque for bolt (7) and the nut is less than 1600 N·m (1180 lb ft).

  1. Tighten bolt (7) and the nut to a final torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m (1330 ± 145 lb ft).

  1. Repeat Step 11 through Step 19 for the pin assembly on the other side.

Note: At the end of 50 service hours, repeat Step 17 through Step 19 for both bucket pin assemblies.

  1. Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of bolt (13) .

  1. Install bolt (13), the washer and the nut.

Note: The collet on one side must not extend farther than the other collet when the bolt and nut are tight.

  1. Tighten bolt (13) and the nut to torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m (1330 ± 145 lb ft). After the bolt and nut are tight, hit the collet on each side with a heavy hammer until the torque on the bolt and the nut is less than 950 N·m (700 lb ft).

  1. Tighten bolt (13) and the nut again to torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m (1330 ± 145 lb ft). Hit each collet again until the torque for bolt (13) and the nut is less than 1600 N·m (1180 lb ft).

  1. Tighten bolt (13) and the nut to a final torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m (1330 ± 145 lb ft).

Note: At the end of 50 service hours, repeat Step 31 through Step 33.

  1. Lubricate the bucket pivot bearings. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket Pivot Bearings - Lubricate".

  1. Lubricate the tilt linkage. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tilt Linkage Bearings - Lubricate".

End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
