Feeder Drive Shaft Group - Remove

Usage:

AP-655C AYP

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the drag conveyor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drag Conveyor - Remove and Install".

  2. Remove the wheel (final drive). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel (Final Drive) - Remove and Install".

  1. Remove covers (1) and (2).

  2. Loosen bolts (4). Turn bolts (3) counterclockwise in order to relieve the tension on the chain.

  3. Remove bolts (6) and plate assembly (5).

  4. Remove bolts (7). Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove plate (8) from the machine. The weight of the plate is approximately 23 kg (51 lb).

  5. Disconnect tube assembly (9) from the shaft assembly.

  6. Loosen bolts (10). Do not remove bolts (10) at this time.

  7. Remove bolts (11) and cap (12).

  8. Remove bolts (14).

  9. Loosen setscrews (16).

  10. Use a suitable pry bar in order to force shaft assembly (19) toward the center of the machine, as shown. Moving the shaft assembly toward the center of the machine is necessary in order to remove sprocket (15) from the shaft.

  11. Remove sprocket (15) from chain (18) and the shaft.

  12. Remove key (17) from the shaft.

  13. Disconnect hose assembly (13) from the shaft assembly.

  14. Use a suitable lifting device in order to support shaft assembly (19), as shown. Remove bolts (10) and remove shaft assembly (19) from the machine. The weight of the shaft assembly is approximately 55 kg (121 lb).
