  1. Install shaft (10), washer (12), and nut (13). Tighten nut (13) to a torque of 410 N·m (300 lb ft).

  2. Install shim (1) and spacer (11) on shaft 10.

  3. Install bearing cone (9) on shaft (10).

  4. Install two bearing cups (8) in roller (3).

  5. Install roller (3) and bearing cone (7).

  6. Install washer (6).

  7. Install lockwasher (5).

  8. Install locknut (4). Use Tooling (A) and torque locknut (4) to a rolling torque of 23 N·m (200 lb in). Loosen locknut (4) and torque to a rolling torque of 8.5 N·m (75 lb in). Bend one of the tabs on lockwasher (5) into one of the slots on the locknut.

  9. Install plug (2) in roller (3).

  10. Bend the corners on shim (1).

  11. Repeat Steps 1 through 10 and assemble the opposite side of the footshaft.

End By:

  1. Install the footshaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Footshaft - Install".
