Equipment Lowering with Engine Stopped

Make sure that all personnel are clear of the machine before you lower the screed manually.
Loosen the locking nut (1) on the screed control valve.
Screw adjusting screw (2) until the screw bottoms out. Write down the number of turns of the screw in order to release the hydraulic pressure. As the oil bleeds off, the screed will drift to the ground.
After the screed is lowered completely, screw the adjusting screw to the screw's original position.
