Usage:
Introduction
The 4C6601 Hose Press Stand is used as a support for 6V4880 and 1U9160 Hydraulic Hose Press Assembly and a hydraulic pump group. To assemble the hose press stand and install the hydraulic hose press assembly, see the instructions that follow.
Do not perform any procedure, outlined in this publication, or order any parts until you read and understand the information contained within.
Necessary Parts
* The following hardware is required to assemble the stand.
Stand Assembly Procedure
(A) Right Side View. (B) Rear View.
1. Attach five supports (3) in locations shown between the left side frame (1) and the right side frame (2). Use one 0S1621 Bolt (12), one 1F7958 Nut (13) and two 5P8245 Washers (14) to attach each end of the supports (3).
2. Attach two mounting straps (4) between the right and left support rail (F) of the left side frame (1) and the right side frame (2). Use two 0S1621 Bolts (12), two 1F7958 Nuts (13) and four 5P8245 Washers (14) for each strap.
3. Bolt retainer support (5) in position on the top rails (C) of the left side frame (1) and right side frame (2). Use one 0S1621 Bolt (12), one 1F7958 Nut (13) and two 5P8245 Washers (14) on each end.
4. Bolt pivot support (6) to the support brackets (D) on the left and right side frames (1) and (2). Use one 0S1621 Bolt (12), one 1F7958 Nut (13) and two 5P8245 Washers (14) on each side.
5. Put mounting assembly (7) in position on top of stand as shown.
6. Install two 4C6603 Quick Release Pins (10) through support retainer (5) and the mounting assembly.
7. Install one 0S1585 Bolt (11) and one 4C6602 Bushing (9) through each rail of mounting assembly (7) and into the pivot block (E). This is the pivot point for mounting assembly (7).
8. Install switch plate (8) on side of left side frame (1) with one 0S1621 bolt (12) and one 1F7958 nut (13).
Mounting The Hose Press Assembly
1. Put 6V4880 or 1U9160 Hydraulic Hose Press Assembly (15) in position on the mounting assembly (7).
2. Drill two new holes in plate (G) to line up with the two holes in angle (H) on the mounting assembly (7).
NOTE: Refer to the illustration used for assembly to identify angle (H) on mounting assembly (7).
3. Install one 0S1621 Bolts (12), two 5P8245 Washers (14) and one 1F7958 Nut (13) in each hole to attach plate (G) to angle (H) on the mounting assembly (7).
4. Install two 0S0509 Bolts through the holes at the front of the mounting assembly (7) and into the front bolster holes (J) of hose press assembly (15).
5. Mount the hydraulic pump group on mounting straps (4) as shown.
NOTE: The 1U5555 Pump Group is shown and recommended for use, but is not included with hose press stand.
6. Manufacture two hydraulic lines (K) and (L) to the following lengths:
- * Hose (K) 889 mm (35.0") long without fittings.* Hose (L) 711.2 mm (28.0") long without fittings.
7. Install necessary fittings on the hydraulic lines. Attach lines to the hose press assembly and pump group.
8. Install switch on switch plate (8).
9. To pivot mounting assembly (7), remove quick release pins (10) from the rear of mounting assembly and tilt the rear of the mounting assembly up.
10. Install the quick release pins (10) through the holes in the pivot support (6) as shown.
