Introduction

This instruction provides the necessary information to clarify customer options for connecting water lines to the Air Separator Group.

NOTE: The air separator group is an alternative to the expansion tank and is not intended to be used with the expansion tank.

Do not perform any procedure, outlined in this publication, or order any parts until you read and understand the information contained within.

Connection Options

The 4P4699 Air Separator Group has three options for attaching the jacket water connections.

* Option 1. The air separator assembly tubes have internal 4 - 8 NPTF threads for connecting to external thread pipe.

* Option 2. Two 6L9679 Flanges (3) and two 4L7885 Gaskets (4) are shipped loose.

The 6L9679 Flanges may be welded to the air separator assembly tubes (1) to provide flange connections.

* Option 3. Two 8P4608 Rings (2) are shipped loose.

The 8P4608 Rings (2) may be snapped into the slots in the air separator tubes (1) to provide a restraining ridge for using hose and clamp connections.
