Frame Leveling Cylinder

(46) Load control valve for frame leveling

(47) Frame leveling cylinder

Frame leveling cylinder (47) is installed between the machine frame and the front axle. The frame leveling cylinder is attached to the machine frame, and the piston rod is attached to the front axle. The frame leveling cylinder is extended in order to tilt the frame to the left, and the frame leveling cylinder is retracted in order to tilt the frame to the right.

The frame leveling cylinder is equipped with a load control valve (46) that controls the flow of oil into the cylinder and out of the cylinder. Both sides of the frame leveling cylinder are closed by the load control valve when the switch for frame leveling control is in the HOLD position or if the supply of oil to the frame leveling cylinder fails for any reason during operation.

(50) Switch (Frame Leveling)

The frame leveling cylinder is controlled by implement section (17) of bank valve (4) which is operated by switch (50). The spool in the implement section is spring centered and the spool is operated by solenoids.

When the machine is tilted to the left, oil (CP1) flows from the implement section to the piston side of the frame leveling cylinder. As the frame leveling cylinder extends, oil (R) flows from the rod side through bank valve (4), and through filter (30) to hydraulic tank (28) .

When the machine is tilted to the right, oil flows from the implement section to the rod side of the frame leveling cylinder. As the frame leveling cylinder retracts, oil flows from the piston side through the bank valve, and through the filter to the hydraulic tank.
