Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
2. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release".

Note: The front tilt lever and the front tilt link are located on the front of the lift arms.

1. Engage the parking brake.

2. Use a suitable lifting device to support tilt cylinder (1), as shown.

3. Remove bolt (2) and pin assembly (3) .

4. Lower tilt cylinder (1) so that the cylinder rests on the lift arm, as shown.

5. Fasten a suitable lifting device to tilt lever (5) and to tilt link (4) .

6. Remove bolt (8) and pin assembly (9) .

7. Remove bolt (10) and pin assembly (7). Remove tilt lever (5) and tilt link (4) as a unit. The total weight of the tilt lever and of the tilt link is approximately 109 kg (240 lb).

8. Remove bearings (11), (12), and (13) .
