操作员通过将发动机转速旋钮置于 10 个位置之一选择发动机转速。 控制器通过比较发动机转速和发动机转速传感器，确定发动机是否在选定的转速下工作。 如果发动机不在选定转速下工作，则控制器启动用来移动调速器杆的调速器执行器。 控制器借助调速器反馈传感器将调速器杆置于与选定发动机转速对应的位置处。 调速器执行器利用钢丝绳转动皮带轮。 如果皮带轮逆时针转动，则与皮带轮相连的调速器杆将沿加速方向移动。 如果皮带轮顺时针转动，则调速器杆将沿减速方向移动。
