Unlock the cut-off shoes from the end gates before you raise the screed for travel. This will prevent the cut-off shoes from contacting the auger conveyor. |
Cut off shoes reduce the width for laying pavement between the end gates. There are two sizes of cut off shoes. The first size gives a maximum of 305 mm (1 ft) reduction in 76.2 mm (3 inch) increments. The second size gives a maximum of 610 mm (2 ft) reduction in 76.2 mm (3 inch) increments. Use the cut off shoes when the machine is at the standard 2.44 m (8 ft) or 3.05 m (10 ft).
