"96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

The Advisor needs to be flashed with a new file on certain G3508, G3512, and G3516 Engines to display NOx values. The NOx sensor needs to be inspected and replaced on certain G3508, G3512, and G3516 Engines before failure. |

In all groups, flash the Advisor with the appropriate flash file.
In groups 1 and 5, disassemble the the NOx Sensor Module and check the date code (see Images 1 and 2). If the date is before 10 August, 2007 replace the NOx Sensor. The date code is in NUMERALKOD format with the first two characters representing the day, the middle two charaters representing the month, and last two charaters representing the year. N=0, U=1, M=2, E=3, R=4, A=5, L=6, K=7, O=8, D=9 Example: MNNKNK (as seen in the image) is translated as 200707 = 20 July, 2007
Refer to Special Instruction, REHS3411, "Installation of the 304-4209 Nitrocen Oxide Sensor Gp", for disassembly and assembly procedures. |
